2000 Toyota Tundra Looses Power At Full Throttle
Driving at highway speeds down a freeway around 60-70 mph 2.
2000 toyota tundra looses power at full throttle. Car wont accelerate lacks power when accelerating or accelerates itself. I had p2111 prior to cleaning throttle body runs a little better but still not enough power. Under 70 or from a stop I can punch it and it will accelerate through the gears no problem going over 4000 rpm.
Any ideas what else the problem could be. Pull over and it will. 2000 tundra v6 5-speed cold start truck runs great park it for 20-30 min it will start fine but after going 14 mile it dies looses power.
My 2005 kia sedona loses power on incline. I live in Southeast Florida and it doesnt really get cold down here but in the last few weeks it has got down in the low 50s high 40s. No change to the acceleration.
Ive changed the throttle lever assembly the TBS and throttle motor. You have a bad APPS Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor. It may feel as though the car simply doesnt accelerate as it should and jerks or hesitates as it picks up speed.
A CE light is present. It can be frustrating for any driver to expect certain acceleration from their vehicle only to find that the vehicle seems to be hesitant while speeding up. Not super terrible though I had an old Dodge that was.
I just purchased a 2000 SR5 for my son as his first vehicle. I cleaned the throttle body inside very well with throttle body cleaner. This is how to properly service your throttle body actuator and plate on a 47L V8 Toyota Tundra between the years of 2000-2006.
